"You experience God where you want to, by believing." WELL SAID. That is 100% TRUE. But even belief must be sensible, instead of a blind insensible belief.

I remember the story :

A flood threatens a town, forcing everyone to evacuate, But Joe thinks, "I'm a devout man, God will save me," and stays put. As the waters rise, Joe's neighbor comes by and says, "Joe come with me, we've got to go." Joe declines, "I'm a devout man, God will save me."

The waters keep rising, Joe scrambles to his second floor. A firefighter in a rowboat comes by. "Get in the boat or you'll drown," he says. Joe again declines, saying, "God will save me. So this flood story goes."

Finally, the flood waters force Joe to his roof. A police helicopter comes by and throws down a rope. "Climb up or you'll drown," the policeman yells. "No, I'm a devout man, God will save me," Joe replies.

Soon, Joe drowns. He arrives in heaven and challenges God. "Why didn't you help me?"

"What do you mean?" God says.

"I did help. I sent a neighbor, a firefighter and a helicopter."

The_inspired: So true, Athena. I had also heard this story before. It takes quite a brain to recognise when opportunity comes our way.

That was quite well expressed. Thumb rule, there is a power, a mastermind - those who believe call God... if not then whatever everybody wishes for, dreams about, works hard towards with/without external help would come true any day... unfortunately it does not happen that way, does it!

....PNA...

The_Inspired: I'd have to disagree to this part of your comment, Pins N Ashes, "unfortunately it does not happen that way, does it!". 'Wishing for', 'dreaming about', 'working hard' are different from "asking and believing". My point is if we ask the right thing and have full trust in God (or whatever the power, the almighty is), we shall be given. That's why I emphasize so much on the word 'belief'.

God is not so difficult to find
He resides in souls that are kind
If we can take this in our mind
we don't have to grope like the blind.

Nice post. Well written. Will back for more. :)

The_Inspired: Thanks, Govind. Finally, someone who agrees that God is not so difficult(or complicated, in my words). Wonderful rhyming...

Its a tough and complicated topic and you have penned down your thoughts so well. I have always been interested in topics of spirituality and religion. And love reading posts dealing with the same. A good post!

wow well written and beautifully expressed on a topic that is hard to write and express. Yes , sprituality , belief and faith are very personal things and only those who seek will find what they are seeking- be it God, faith, belief, etc. Altough i was born a Hindu , i do not believe in organised religion infact, i find more space when i visit a Gurudwara or a glimpse of any living spirtual master of any faith. Faith , seeking and one's beliefs may not have anything to do with religion at all. Faith and sprituality is not and end in itslef- altough many seekers do believe that just by being on the path they have found and ends to everything- it rather is a journey that begins deep within oneself.
To conclude it like to say- if this post were a dish, it is one with the most succulent of flavours and appealing of aromas.

The_Inspired: Thanks, Komal. Yes, I agree that faith may not have anything to do with religion at all. As I said, people find truth in different ways and for some (most?) it is through religion.

Beautifully written post on a topic that's not easy to write. People often forget that faith is a journey and not a guilt trip. I'm agnostic myself, but one can't help but wonder how millions of beings, with millions of cell in them came into being on this planet. Like a co-author recently wrote, to think of the myriad of things that had to fall into place to create, sustain and nurture life-forms on earth is humbling.

A very good post.

The_Inspired: Thanks, INDImag. In the past, I had been agnostic and even atheistic sometimes and I neither understood nor cared about this. I was arrogant enough to hide my ignorance. I'm glad that I experience it now, I'm not ignorant anymore...
